Research Associate/Post-doc

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Associate/Post-doc in enzyme biochemistry and molecular nanobiotechnology. The successful candidate will join our fast-paced collaborative team to execute sophisticated biological experiments.
Work will initially be carried out in the labs of Dr. Roy Cohen and Dr. Alex Travis at the Baker Institute for Animal Health, College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University (Ithaca, New York).The primary responsibility of this position is to support our efforts towards development and production of enzyme-based, ultra-rapid diagnostic tests to be utilized for molecular detection of a panel of respiratory viruses.
Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in a related field. Strong technical background in biochemistry, enzymology, molecular diagnostics, molecular assay development, and/or recombinant protein production. Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for participating in our multi-disciplinary team. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a team are required.
Fantastic opportunity if you want to grow with our startup in this full-time, 18-month appointment with possible extension, depending on funding and performance.
